RH uses the same 5-finger patterns with various harmonies. The melody is played in both hands as a melody workout for the hands. The piece is in ABA form with an intro and coda. Purpose. This piece is great for strengthening fingers equally for uniform tone and developing agility. Suggestions for Instruction. I start with RH-showing the repetition of the melody and parts thereof. Then I point out various LH positions for the 5ths. Key. D minor. Independent movement of the left hand. Multiple chords in a measure, and the introduction of triplets.
