The composer wrote the lyrics to Creator in response to a philosophical discussion with a friend. She put it aside and forgot about it for a few years until she was searching for some lost sheet music and ran into the forgotten poem. A few lines of music materialized in her head at that point and wouldnât go away so she finished the song as a kind of exorcism. An excess of light drips from its fingertips unnoticed in its distraction as it glides toward a distant old creation, forgotten for a while. Drops of light sailing in its wake gather in to mind and heart and hunger born of abandonment. We believe the ephemeral colossus calls us through infinity, and we ponder our paradox of evils while Glory passes by and flings its starry shawl out to the waiting void.
