This simple, elegant chant setting of the Gloria by the late Richard Proulx presents the newly revised Mass translation for use in Advent 2011. This was one of Richard's last compositions, and we are honored to publish this exquisite pastoral work that assemblies will sing and pray with ease. Michael O'Connor, OP was so inspired on hearing Richard's Gloria that he crafted a Missa Simplex based on this beautiful melodic material. Look for it soon from WLP. It is rewarding to know that Proulx's many and varied contributions live on as part the very fabric of liturgical music.
