The inspiration for this music came from David Adam's prayer poem The Real Presence in his collection 'The Edge of Glory'. I use the text with his permission. The song is suitable for use during Holy Communion; it can be sung by the congregation as a whole or the choir can sing the verses and the rest of the congregation join in the refrain. The song is written in unison but an SATB harmony version of verse 3 will shortly be available.
