Texty: Julie Odell. Other. Beluga Whales.
Why do you dance in the sea with all your clothes on?
Wouldn?t you rather be free without those clothes on?
And you said dear my modesty is what frees me
from sheer humility and lack of mystery
and then you picked up tiny sea shells with your small toes
then you smell the salty sea air with your small freckled nose
and the speckles enclosed in your honey brown eyes just glow
and you lay bold down every cloud is a sea creature
you said I liked to do that cause they don?t belong there
and the blue sky I like to draw there blue eyes towards gods smile
then the waves came claw in at your ankles
then your knobby knees became un stable
then the sea weed lost so both your legs
and dragged you straight down to the bottom of the sea bend
and for just a moment you are freighted
but then you approach the gates of heaven
Now you are ridding of the backs of beluga whales
that fly through the sky with wings like peacock tales
and in there skin an inscription a document
a love poem of death ballet
a gospel hymn a law unwritten a form to contain inside the bottle
